31100. Discussions and Closures

The pantanal of Jacadigo-Nabileque, near Corumba, Brazil, one of twelve wetlands of the Pantanal of Mato Grosso, the largest wetland in the world (photo by V. M. Ponce, 1995).

1.  A view of Camp Creek, in central Oregon, developed in the late 1800's due to overgrazing of the meadow. Since 1968, exclusion of livestock managed by the BLM has led to the buildup of the streambed, which continues to date. Top photo was taken in 1989; bottom photo was taken in 2004. Channel bed aggradation in the past 15 years is estimated to be about 2-3 ft.
