Derive the lateral-inflow routing coefficient C3 used in Muskingum-Cunge routing in overland flow, shown as in Page 721 of the paper "Diffusion wave modeling of catchment dynamics":

C3 = 2C / (1 + C + D)

Hint:  First derive the routing equation with lateral inflow, Eqs. 19 and 20 shown in Page 90 of the paper "Simplified Muskingum routing equation". You may also use Eqs. 2 to 10 of the paper "Muskingum-Cunge method with variable parameters" to convert the routing parameters K and X to C and D, respectively. Keep in mind the change in notation in the routing coefficients between papers: Three coefficients (C1, C2, and C3) for the case without lateral inflow, to four coefficients (C0, C1, C2, and C3), for the case with lateral inflow.
