HOMEWORK 4: OVERLAND FLOW
Use ONLINE CONCEPTUAL
OVERLAND to calculate the following overland flow hydrographs::
-
Using the Horton equation, calculate the rising limb of an overland flow hydrograph.
Use plane length L = 100;
plane slope So = 0.01; rainfall excess i = 36 mm/hr; and
Manning n = 0.06.
-
Using the Horton equation, calculate the receding limb of an overland flow hydrograph.
Use plane length L = 100;
plane slope So = 0.01; rainfall excess i = 36 mm/hr; and
Manning n = 0.06.
- Using the Izzard equation, calculate the rising limb of an overland flow hydrograph.
Use plane length L = 100;
plane slope So = 0.01;
rainfall excess i = 36 mm/hr; and
water temperature T = 20°C.
