GRADING POLICY

Two Term Papers (A and B) (50%), Midterm (25%), Final Exam (25%).

Attendance and class participation will earn a bonus of 1/3 letter grade (Example: B+ raised to A-).


TERM PAPERS

Book A to be chosen on 180202 (Week 3). Book A essay will be due on 180302 (Week 7).
Book B to be chosen on 180323 (Week 10). Book B essay will be due on 180427 (Week 14).

Each term paper will be an essay consisting of analysis, critique and/or commentary of a book chosen from a Selected List. Use appropriate grammar and spelling.

Term papers to be double-spaced, no title page, Arial 12-point font size, two (2) complete pages, stapled on the top-left corner. The paper should be written in your own words.


CLASS RULES

All instances of cheating will be dealt with following university policy, as stated in the current SDSU Catalog. Students wishing to use a laptop when the class is in session, must seat in the front row. Cell phone use is not permitted when the class in is session. Please turn off cell phones prior to the start of the class.
